Madera California 2

So when I was posting this last thing about home and Madera, I totally forgot to put something crucial in! I wrote this the night after we worshiped at that church-- I was sitting in front of a beautiful river at Yosemite National Park...Luke and Myles were lost on a trail. This just came from me meditating on the experience of the day:

I walk, run, travel, journey
through rivers, mountains, streams, and cities
but where is home?
"Home is where the heart is!"
Then my home is divided into a million places that have captured my imagination
"Home is where your roots are!"
But I am a newborn sapling, and this soil is impenatrable
...so where is home?
What is MY constant?

And there She is--
I find this pure bride wherever I go
Although imperfect, she is beautiful--and redeemed
In her radiant character, I have found:
*a place to call home
*my universals
*myself
*the very face of God

I walk, run, travel, journey
through rivers, mountains, streams, and cities
but where is home?

My home is among the church of the redeemed
scattered across the globe

You remember when we were worshipping with the "family at Brooklyn Tabernacle" and all around us were people from every social class, ethnicity, and language? You leaned over during the praise time and said, "Dad, this is what heaven is going to be like."
Isn't the church on earth to be a glimpse of heaven for the world? Sadly, she often fails at that clear representation. Yet, she remains imperfect as you say, but is the promised Bride who shall be adorned in the righteousness of the Bridegroom some glorious day!
